Events include an historic first person impression of Lt. Patrick Minor by John Anderson, Buffalo Soldiers program, music by Hank Roberts, Civil War era demonstrations, blacksmithing and cooking demonstrations, crafts, storytelling, a medicine show, and a living history loop. The award winning documentary “Battle of Island Mound” will be shown which shows the role of African-American soldiers in this early conflict.


At 6:30 p.m. the Bates County Museum will host a Spirit Stroll on the grounds. Members of the Audrain Community Theater and other volunteers will bring history to life. This is a freewill donation event, and refreshments will be served. 802 Elks Drive, Butler, MO.
