Author G. William Quatman will join us on March 21 to discuss his new book A Young General and the Fall of Richmond. His book follows the career of Union general Godfrey Weitzel, who was commander of the Union Army's only all-black unit. In 1865, he marched his troops into Richmond, the capital of the Confederacy, capturing the city for the Union and precipitating the eventual collapse of the Southern states' rebellion.
