Ghost Tours at the 1859 Jail Museum

Every Friday and Saturday night in October (plus Sept. 28 & 29!) the Jackson County Historical Society, Dusk 2 Dawn Paranormal, and Pioneer Trails Adventures are hosting Ghost Tours at the 1859 Jail!  Spend an exciting 45 minutes touring the 1859 Jail, Marshal's Home and Museum, then take a spooky covered wagon ride around the Independence Square.  Tours begin at 7PM, 8PM, and 9PM. $20 for adults, $15 for kids 7-12.  No kids under age 7.  Tickets will be available for purchase on August 27th at 8AM.  Advance purchase only, tickets will not be sold at the door.

Tickets must be purchased in advance.  Tour times CANNOT be changed after you have purchased a ticket.  No refunds.  Anybody appearing to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or disrupting the tour will be asked to leave.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No children under the age of 7.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample parking during the evening hours.  Across the street and on street parking available.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
No food or drinks.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes.  Your ticket(s) will be attached to the confirmation email from Eventbrite.

No refunds.  No transfers.

How long is the tour?
Roughly 2 hours.

Is this a "scary" tour?
This is not like your typical haunted house tour.  We focus on the history of the building and area to tell our ghost stories.

When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets go on sale August 27th at 8AM via our Facebook page, JCHS.org, and Eventbrite.
